Not Getting Enough Sleep?

NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP?
Well it seems a lot of us in the UK aren’t!
Professor Espie of The University of Glasgow has studied 12000 adults in the UK and looked at their sleep patterns. This is the largest study on sleep patterns that has been carried out in the UK.
He found that more than half of us are not getting a good night’s rest.
51% of adults struggle to fall asleep or remain asleep.
Women suffer from this more than men.
75% of women report the problem, compared to 25% of men.

55% report relationship difficulties as a result of their lack of sleep.
77% say that it affects their concentration.
64% felt less productive at work.
83% had mood problems.
93% lacked energy.
Professor Espie states that “Living with poor sleep and its consequences is not only very common, but it is in all likelihood degrading Britain’s health.”
Espie also states that “Insomnia affects people’s quality of life during the day, not just their sleep at night.
